Three-thread knitted fabrics are produced differently from two-thread fabrics by incorporating a third yarn, known as the binding yarn, into the knitting structure in addition to the ground and lining yarns.
In this construction, each yarn has a specific function:
- Ground yarn: forms the main structure of the fabric
- Lining yarn: creates the inner surface and adds volume
- Binding yarn: strengthens the structure and prevents the lining yarn from appearing on the outer surface
Thanks to this special knitting technique, the fabric becomes denser, heavier, and more durable. Three-thread fabrics are known for their excellent shape retention, long-lasting durability, and thermal insulation, making them ideal for autumn and winter collections.
